INTRODUCTION
Raja Ampat or Four Kings is an archipelago comprising over 1,500 small islands, cays, and shoals surrounding the four main islands of Misool, Salawati, Batanta, and Waigeo, and the smaller island of Kofiau. With rich of the diversity of marine life, it easily becomes a dream destination for those who love the underwater and clear water.
As the world’s last wild places, a vast sprawl of tropical island jewels amid seas renowned as being the richest on our planet. It is the perfect place to really get away from all the busy life and back to nature at its best.
Enjoy the underwater where many corals and fish are seen. Derawan is also a turtle’s heaven because we can spot them easily wherever we go around the island.
Catch the right timing and watch the Manta partying.
Wayag Island never ceases to amaze. The panoramic beauty of the island as we climb up to its highest platform and observe coves and atolls around.
Manta rays swim freely around Sangalaki island within Derawan islands.
Witness with our own eyes the largest fish in the ocean.
DAY 1: SORONG – FRIWEN – BATU LIMA (L,D)
All participants arrive at Domine Eduard Osok Airport at Sorong the latest by 8 am (local time GMT+9). Start moving to the harbour by car (about 15 mins). We will take the 9 am fast boat across to Waisai (about 2-3 hours). Reach Waisai, transfer to the resort by car which will take about an hour. Reach Resort about 1 pm, check-in and have lunch at the resort. Around 2 pm, we will go to Batu Lima and Friwen Wall for snorkelling. Around 5.30 pm, we shall reach back to the resort already. Dinner will be ready at 7 pm. Free time.
DAY 2: SERPELE – WAYAG (B,L,D)
Early light breakfast at 4.30 am. We will depart to Wayag at 4.45 am. The journey to Wayag will take about 5 hours. We will take a break in between on Selpele Island. Reach Wayag at around 11 am and start trekking (about 30 mins) to the peak. Back from the peak, we will have our lunch and rest for a while before heading back to the resort. Reach resort at around 7 pm, dinner and free time.
DAY 3: PIANEMO – FAM WALL – ARBOREK – YENBUBA – PASIR TIMBUL (B,L,D)
Breakfast at 6.30 am and get ready to go to Piyanemo after that. Piyanemo is one of the viewing points in Raja Ampat. We will take many steps up to the viewing deck (about 15-20 mins). From here, we will go to Fam Wall and Arborek for snorkelling. We will have our lunch at Arborek. From Arborek we will go to Yenbuba for one last snorkelling spot for the day. If time permits, we will stop by at Pasir Timbul to enjoy the sunset time and the clear water. Back to the resort, dinner at 7 pm, and free time afterwards.
DAY 4: BATANTA ISLAND (B,L,D)
Today we will need to wake up early at 3 am as we will be heading to Batanta (about 2 hours journey) to find Dugong, the marine mammal usually appears in the morning for feeding on the seagrasses. Breakfast will be to-go in a meal box. If we were lucky, we would get to see it while snorkelling. After that, we will see the unique waterfall hidden in the jungle, the Batanta Waterfall. Prepare your trekking shoes or water trekking shoes. The trek is about an hour long. Back from the waterfall, we will have our lunch on the island. Head back to our resort. Dinner at 7 pm and free time afterwards.
DAY 5: BATU PENSIL – SAUWANDAREK – CAPE KRI – MIOSKON (B,L,D)
Wake up at 3.30 am and prepare for birdwatching. We will take a boat out across to the place where Bird of Paradise is seen. Wear a comfortable trekking sandal or shoes for this as we will need to trek through the jungle. The overall activity will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the situation of the day. Back to the resort, rest and breakfast.
At around 10 am, we will go to Teluk Kabui. First stop is Batu Pinsil, one of the carsts that shaped naturally like a pencil. We will also be snorkelling here. After that, we will go to Sauwandarek Village where we will have our lunch and snorkelling. On the way back to the resort, if time permits we will stop by at Cape Kri and Mioskon for snorkelling. Around 5 pm we shall reach and it is free time afterwards. Dinner will be served at 7 pm.
DAY 6: BIRDWATCHING – SORONG (B)
Breakfast will be ready at 7 am. Check out at 8.30 am. Transfer back to Waisai and take the fast boat to Sorong as per boat schedule. We shall be able to reach Sorong around 12 noon. Drop off at the airport.
