The Baliem Valley Festival is an annual cultural event where tribes from the highlands of Wamena and the Baliem Valley, including the Dani, Lani, and Yali, gather to celebrate. Around 40 tribes come to showcase their local cultures, featuring traditional dances, musical performances, pig races, and mock wars between districts.
