INTRODUCTION
The heart of Central Java, Semarang, with its multicultural history, is one of the largest metropolitan cities in Indonesia. This city is also known as Kota Lumpia or Lumpia City. Lumpia is one of the most delicious snacks you could ever find in Indonesia. It’s a snack born by acculturation of two cultures, Javanese and Chinese, and a typical food from Semarang.
INTRODUCTION
The Karimunjawa National Park is one of seven marine national parks in Indonesia. The archipelagic Karimunjawa though not as popular as the Marine reserves near Ambon and Manado, has unexpectedly good beaches, reefs and lovely sea scopes. Corals seem to blossom into gardens, with an Amazing variety of forms and colour fishers and marine plants. The sparkling beaches and pristine seas are home to healthy coral reefs that scatter around an 80 km wide area all the way to the coast of Jepara.
DAY 1 (WED, 01/05/2024): SEMARANG
Pick up from the airport in Semarang and go for dinner before checking in to our hotel.
DAY 2 (THU, 02/05/2024): SEMARANG (B,L)
After breakfast, get ready to explore the city of Semarang including savouring the local cuisine such as Lumpia Semarang and visiting the train museum of Ambarawa.
DAY 3 (FRI, 03/05/2024): SEMARANG – JEPARA – KARIMUNJAWA (B,L)
Check out at 4 am and head to Kartini Port in Jepara (about 2 hours) where we will take a two-hour fast boat across to Karimunjawa Islands at 9 am. Reach Karimunjawa, check in to our homestay and rest. Around 3 pm, we will head out to explore the island and watch the sunset at Tanjung Gelam Beach—dinner at the local eateries, back to our homestay, and a free programme afterwards.
DAY 4 (SAT, 04/05/2024): KARIMUNJAWA (B,L)
After breakfast, get ready with all your suits and gear. We will be taking a boat out for snorkelling and also getting some knowledge about coral conservation. We will have our lunch on the island and enjoy the beach, back to the main island after sunset. And if we are in luck, we get to see the dolphins!
DAY 5 (SUN, 05/05/2024): KARIMUNJAWA – JEPARA – SEMARANG (B,L)
Today, we will return to Jepara. After breakfast, get ready to check out. We will head to the Port of Karimunjawa at 9.30 am for our fast boat ride at 11.00. Arrive at Jepara, we will continue our journey to Semarang. Lunch will be along the way. Drop off at the airport in Semarang no later than 4.30 pm.
