A day-by-day plan.

  • DAY

    1

    JAKARTA – SEMARANG (L)

    Our journey begins at Gambir Station in Jakarta, where we will board a comfortable train for a scenic, five-hour ride to Semarang, enjoying a convenient lunch served right on board. (Please note: For those making their own travel arrangements, all participants must arrive in Semarang no later than noon).

    Upon arrival, we will dive straight into the city’s rich culinary heritage with a visit to the iconic Gang Lombok alley to savor the legendary spring rolls (lumpia) that Semarang is so famous for. Next, we will explore the historic and beautifully ornate Tay Kak Sie Temple. Time permitting, we will pause for a delightful afternoon tea break at Javara before taking a charming, nostalgic rickshaw ride through the colonial streets of the Old Town (Kota Lama). We will cap off our first day together with a delicious welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

    2

    SEMARANG (B,L)

    After a satisfying breakfast, our exploration of Semarang continues with a visit to the magnificent Sam Poo Kong Temple. Dedicated to Admiral Zheng He (also known as Cheng Ho), a legendary Chinese Muslim mariner and explorer from the Ming Dynasty, this striking temple complex is a beautiful symbol of harmony. It serves as a vibrant center for religious and cultural activities, warmly welcoming followers of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, while also holding deep historical significance for the local Muslim community.

    For lunch, we will dine at an exceptional local restaurant, carefully handpicked by our team to ensure you experience the best authentic flavors of the region. In the afternoon, channel your creativity at a traditional Batik workshop, where you will enjoy a hands-on session learning this intricate, ancient art form and crafting your very own masterpiece.

    Before the day ends, we will stop by a local boutique so you can pick up unique souvenirs and regional delicacies to bring a piece of Semarang home with you. To conclude a spectacular day, we will gather for a memorable dinner, indulging in fantastic food while taking in the dazzling evening skyline of Semarang City.

    3

    SEMARANG – JAKARTA (B,L)

    Enjoy a leisurely morning and a relaxed breakfast at the hotel before packing up and checking out around 10:00 AM. Our final excursion takes us to the magnificent Pagoda Avalokitesvara, a towering and beautifully detailed spiritual landmark.

    After taking in the serene surroundings, we will gather at a local restaurant for a late lunch. This is the perfect opportunity to savor one last taste of authentic regional cuisine and share wonderful memories with your travel companions.

    Finally, we will transfer you comfortably to the train station for your onward journey, bringing our incredible Semarang adventure to a beautiful close.
